Description
Ogbonna soup is a thick, hearty, delectable, super tasty, nutrient-dense and hearty Nigerian
concoction soup made with Ogbonna seeds (wild mango seeds) loaded with protein of choice
(meats, fish etc) simmered in a light delicious broth. Ogbonna seeds originated and were
first grown in Southern Nigeria with considerable local variation and when cooked Ogbonna
has a mucilaginous (slimy) texture
Ogbonna Soup is complimentary with any swallow (typically called Fufu in America) of choice.
So, ogbonna soup can be eaten with Amala, Pounded Yam, Eba, Wheat, Oats etc
We serve our OGBONNO with Pounded Yam – popular called FUFU (Eba and Oats are available upon request)
