Description
Efo Riro is a vegetable soup and a native soup of the Yoruba people of South West Nigeria and
other parts of Yorubaland. The history of Efo Ririro is deeply rooted in the Yoruba culture.
Efo means ”Green leafy vegetable” and riro, means ”to stir”. So basically, Efo riro simply
means ”stirred leafy vegetable”.
Efo Riro Soup is complimentary with any swallow (typically called Fufu in America) of choice.
So, efo riro soup can be eaten with Amala, Pounded Yam, Eba, Wheat, Oats etc
We serve our EFO RIRO with Pounded Yam – popular called FUFU (Eba and Oats are available upon request) or White Rice
